Absolutely fabulous and funky space-age flame orange and brown plastic large wardrobe hangers made by Flair Holland which was part of French Prisunic in the 70s. Set of 4, Made in Holland.

The remarkable history of Prisunic:

Prisunic was a branch of the luxury department store, Printemps, whose renowned decorative atelier, Primavera (dedicated to ushering French luxury and tradition into the modern era) commenced its activities in 1912. Another of Printemp's revolutionary initiatives was the inauguration in 1931 of Prisunic in Paris.

In 1968, under the direction of Francis Bruguière, Prisunic proposed its first catalogue of furniture and embarked on a massive advertising campaign. The company brought in master designers, such as Italian architect Gae Aulenti, French designers Marc Held, Olivier Mourgue and Jean-Pierre Garrault. Their offerings were added to those by the Dutch and Belgian painters, Bram van Velde and Pierre Alechinsky, whose lithographs sold at 100 francs each.

After nine years, in 1977, the glorious adventure of Prisunic furniture drew to a close, yet it left an unforgettable mark on those who experienced the era: memories of a remarkable epic of design and modernity.
