One of the most iconic plastic designs ever, the original Tam Tam stool, produced by Stamp and designed by Henry Massonnet — Price is per stool.

STORY:

Initially intended for fishermen, as Massonnet himself was an amateur fisherman and ran a manufacturing company called STAMP, which specialized in moulded plastic. Its flagship product was a coolbox for fishermen. Massonnet wanted to create a small stool that was easy to carry around and could also function as a small storage container.
Massonnet began producing the Tam Tam commercially, selling it to fishermen with modest success, when suddenly a picture of Brigitte Bardot sitting on an orange TamTam made the stool become an international best-seller and a real icon of the late 60s!

An ashtray version was also made; by simply removing the seat and adding a big round metal ashtray that fits the stool's body.

Due to the petroleum crisis in 1973, many plastic furniture designs were discontinued, and the TamTam was about to, but Stamp managed to keep on producing it until the 1980s.
