Stunning 1970s vintage art glass bowl Kallio (meaning "Rock") by Kaj Blomqvist for Kumela (later) Humppila Lasi Finland. Designed by Kaj Blomqvist in 1969, this series is a masterclass in the "brutalist" glass movement, featuring a heavy, high-relief texture that mimics natural stone and weathered ice.
The "Kallio" design is renowned for how it plays with light; the jagged, organic exterior creates deep shadows and brilliant refractions, making it look like a sculpted piece of the Finnish archipelago.
