The Rolf Benz Nuvola table lamp is a sculptural design masterpiece, a translucent curved leaf diffuser suspended above an arched stem, the halogen source concealed within the fin housing below, projecting light upward into the diffuser and outward into the room.
The light source is invisible. The fin at the base of the stem houses the GY6.35 halogen fitting, directing output upward into the broad curved diffuser above which catches and softens the light, and distributes it as a warm ambient wash across its entire translucent surface. The effect in darkness is complete: the diffuser appears to generate its own light, the fin glows at its base, and the room fills with warmth from a source you cannot locate.
By day the form holds its own without any electricity involved. The curved leaf diffuser, the arched stem and the weighted dome base form a resolved sculptural object that sits equally well on a desk, console or sideboard.
