Finland, 1970s. Someone shaped molten glass into flower petals and called it a candle holder. They weren't wrong.
Vintage 1970s Muurla Tähti (Star) art glass votive candle holder by Juhani Ruuskanen, Finland. The flower-form in clear and amber art glass, the petal-shaped lobes radiate from a warm amber centre, the whole object transforms when a tealight is placed inside: the amber glass pools the light, the clear petals catch and scatter it.
