Original pair of Brutalist 'imprisoned' amber glass tumblers by Felipe Derflingher, produced in Mexico during the 1960s/70s. Each glass is hand-blown into a pre-formed metal cage, causing the molten glass to bulge through the geometric cutouts. Because they are handmade, no two glasses are exactly alike.Original pair of “Imprisoned” amber glass tumblers by Felipe Derflingher, produced in Mexico during the late 1960s–1970s. Each piece is hand-blown directly into a pre-formed metal cage, allowing the molten glass to expand through the geometric cut-outs. The result is a dramatic interplay between solid metal structure and organic glass form.

As with all handmade examples, subtle variations are present, making each glass unique.
