Vintage Hustadt Leuchten antenna desk lamp, West Germany 1970s, in white plastic, metal telescopic antenna stem, dome-shaped halogen spot head on a rounded-square weighted base, Type 3184.

The antenna form is the defining idea, a single telescopic stem rising from the low base, the head rotates independently at the top. Fully extended the lamp reads as an object of genuine formal confidence, the proportions between base, stem and head resolved without compromise. Collapsed, it folds into a compact objects that sits entirely differently on a surface. Two forms in one object.
