Vintage opal glass cone pendant, 1980s. Warm off-white by day, a glowing amber cone by night, suspended on a black cord with gold-plated brass fitting.

The cone is one of the most resolved pendant forms in modern lighting, no excess, no decoration, the geometry doing all the work. This example pendant earns its place in that lineage. The material is the point: opal glass diffuses light evenly across the entire surface, eliminating harsh spots and casting a warm, enveloping glow downward and outward simultaneously.
